Council 571 is located at 4520 Mitchell Avenue, across Mitchell from
Missouri Western State University in historic St. Joseph, MO.
Council 571 meets the 2nd
& 4th Thursday of each month at our Council Hall.
The first
meeting of the month is our "Business Meeting". The
second is usually a "Social Meeting". At
the Social Meetings, it is a bit more relaxed and we have a light supper
of some type followed by a short meeting. After both the Business
and the Social meetings you will usually find most of the members
enjoying some fellowship.
Saint Joseph Council 571 was founded in
April, 1901. There are 51 "Original Members" listed on the
charter. William H. Curtin was the 1st Grand Knight of our
Council.
Council 571 works closely with
the 6 Parishes in St. Joseph and surrounding community parishes providing
funds for various projects, members being active participants in their
parish. etc.
